Strange annotation?

    Hello to all of you!

    By some strange coincidence a friend and I have postcards to the same recipient in Bad Nauheim (Hotel Bristol, May 1906) Both of them have a postal (?) annotation 2 in blue crayon. Both cards have the correct porto. So, how do you explain it?

    the "2" in blue crayon should be the room number from Hotel Bristol. I don't think that this is any postal annotation. It seems the "2" is written by the same hand, obviously by the hotelporter at the reception.
