many of the germania issues offer plate vars ... some of which are detailed in michel specialised ...
however, I find many with plate errors ... does anyone know of a study on plates 10x10 ??
this would allow positional identifications...

there are many cancel handbooks and monographs, depending on era ... 2008 JPS handbook is concise; and I use it to catalog my collections ... it is unpriced, but informative ... the Nissen or JSCA specialised catalog offers market price guide for cancel types ... it is 4-part, with latest classic -part1 dated 2012.
