    I am studying the cards of Heinrich Treital who use to write in the Deutsch Sammler Zeitung, There was also a member called Fritz Paeplow who ran a Postmark Service.
    Can anyone give me information about Herr Paeplow, Architekt D.W.B.
    Berlin Steglitz, Bismarckstr 5.

    Thanks for the reply, I did view the site, but I still can't find things like ü NN as in ueber normalnul, or Kr for Kreis these I have seen on cancellations, I guess the easy way is to post a question and hope to get an answer.

    Solbad Elmen, Stat Groß Salze
    Größes Gradiewerk.

    I know Groß Salze is near Calbe in Saxony, its the Elmen and Größtes Gradierwerk I don't understand.
    Is it to do with Salt mining ?

    Heinrich Treitel’s academic degree was Dipl. ing. He was a Member of the Berliner Ganzsachensammler-Verein, an association of collectors of stationaries. He was one of the early collectors of postmarks in Germany. I’ve seen many stationaries with his printed address, so I suppose he was a subscriber of the service of Fritz Paeplow, responsible for the postmark- and novelty-service in the association.

    Treitel was responsible for the postmark-news in the magazine “Deutsche Sammler-Zeitung”.
