It has become quite stressfull to produce such FDCs in Germany.
The combination of real posted on decorative-cover and with decorative First Day cancel requires quite a difficult procedure. -

How about this German FDC?
-
Collecting FDCs is considered total waste of money in germany. That causes very little demand in such items.
First Day cancelers are only available in Berlin and Bonn on special post offices. All other post offices in Germany do not have these cancelers. They also do not have any decorative covers at all. You have to obtain them privatly from a company. Then you have to attach the stamps and send the adressed FDC's in another envelope to one of the special post offices within 7 days, there they will be canceled and mailed.

I'm not shure at all, but since the fdc you get out after all this effort is nearly worthless you might find that there are more entertaining ways of spending your money.
-
I think real posted FDC is valuable and rare in most of country.
1. Only big cities issue FDC and stamps on issue day. so it's hard to send real posted FDC in those countries, real posted FDC is more rarely than mint stamps, mint FDC etc.
2. You can find more information on real posted FDC: issue date, registered label, Par Avion mark or label, postmark, postage rating of this country etc.
3.

You right this is different, thought you Collect real sent FDCI think your theme is easy to collect, cause it's different name on the cover and postcard, so you can get them from market or online auction.
if you only collect used cover to your address, it's a big challenge.
How about your idea? -
