This is a correspondence between two Jews, mainly asking about belongings, money and family. The handwriting is easy to read. Do you have trouble with it ?

Both are German with typical Jewish names. I suppose they write in English because of censors.

The writer, a former veterinary doctor, is working as a refugee in a dairy in Shanghai. He feels old, lonely and poor.

The existence here is very difficult for the 18.000 emigrants. Most of the people get their food from the help-committee and live in the refugee-homes. - John Landau has visited me.
