hello from an Englishman in Germany

Hello fellow Collectors,

I have introduced myself in the German language section, but I
thought I would do so here as well.

my name is William and I have collected German stamps, and related
postal items, for some 40 years. I have an interest in all aspects of the
REICHSPOST from 1871 to 1945, with a main interest in WW2 period.

My collection covers all forms of postal history items from this period.

Looking forward to sharing information with you in the near future,

Yes sure, I would like to add information to the threads, I will however
do some reading on the forum first so I can judge what is required.

Hi Denis, I have not been really active with my UK collection since about 1970, so I will need to blow the dust off it, nevertheless I do have some nice items.

I have all the "difinitive issues" 1840 to 1970, including a nice black
Maltese cancellation from May 1840, before the cancellations went over
to red.

I have FDC covers from 1957 to 2002, which number in the hundreds,
and booklets, so I am sure there are some items to interest you.

I can read German, my problem is writing the language

website, however it is in English.

I would not consider myself an "Expert" but I have been collecting for
many years, although I have no contact to other philatelists and have
been happy to go my merry way the last 20 years in full isolation.

In fact most of my catalogues are as old as the stamps themselves!

I also have a lot of old reference publications and feel it is a shame that
some of the information is no longer available to modern philatelists.

When I read your post, I heard alarm bells ringing, did I get it right?

No, silly me, the red came out first and then the black !

Anyway, I wrote the text to the page back in 1973 as a teenager,
