    Hi Paolo,

welcome in this forum. ! ;)

At first please excuse my writing, may be it´s not correct, but understandable :D

Second: Try to find a way to translate your mailings ( postings ) into German, because most of the users are not willing for translation ( or can read or speak the English language ). There are a lot in idioms in the language, you will have only a little chance to understand, but I´m very happy you are here !!! ;)

I will look to find something for you ( not promised ) and hope you will
stay by us. ( I will help you in the way, I can ! ;).

I`m shure that we have collectors for Brazilian stamps, the problem is to find them in the right way, you understand ? :D

All the best to you and I hope to hear something from you ( also per PN = private message )

Greetings and wishes from Germany to you from

    Wolle

    Hi,

I am Tony Burgess living in Australia; I can read some German, but sending email is harder.

Looking at copies of Mi 782 3 [pfg] is there 2 shades, by 1944 the brown is lighter [more yellow]

Also 795x and 795y how can I find the differnce, is it the colour?

I also have problem with Mi 781a and 781b, [a] is slightly darker, I have 20 copies all look the same.

Also what was the date of issue of 781b, 784b, 785b, 799 bis 802b

I am also interested in the many Kopf mit aufdruck in 1945, does anyone have a list of the private, not in Michel

    Regards
    Tony

    Tony Burgess:

Are we talking about these stamps? - Virtually worthless unused, sold over eBay "as is" with brand new overprints and only collectible used on cover?

    Best regards,

    Lars

    Lars,

Many thanks, these two books look good.

I have a few Kopf mit Aufdruck and want to find postampt oder stadt, in Michel liste, I have some pruffen.

Band 1, does this answer the 1941-1944 changes in color? Or problems in 1944 with print ink u.s.w?

    Regards
    Tony

    Hi Tony,

Many of the 1941-44 definitives exist in a wide range of colours not listed in Michel.

The war years caused many problems with supplies of ink and more so in the latter years.

They also exist with various types of gum eg smooth, ribbed vertically and ribbed horizontally. Which I think is what you refer to with Mi 795. I see no mention of there being a 795x and 795y but do see a 795vy and 795wy.

The diffrence being 795vy has a ribbed gum with a very pale gum colour.
795wy is also with ribbed gum but the gum colour is darker.

Michel Band 1 Spezial doesn't give exact dates of issue for individual stamps. Though perhaps a third reich study group may know more. There are two that I know of . One in the UK and the other in the USA.

Band 2 covers the stamps with Aufdruck and they can be found under Deutsche Lokalausgaben ab 1945.

    Hope that helps some.

    Regards,
    Alec.
